Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. It gives kids the confidence to take on any challenge. The Scouts empower the members to face and meet new challenges, develop their self-esteem, create opportunities for personal discovery, and value and learn from diverse experiences and relationships. |

It is important to create excellence in education, and we can help do so by encouraging community partnerships and support. The mission of the foundation is to provide financial support for innovative programs that will benefit our students, encourage our teachers, and increase the quality of education in Carroll County Public Schools.

Breast Cancer Research Support

Because support for breast cancer research is so essential to wiping out the disease, Carpet One Floor & Home has made a pledge to contribute funds through the Carpet One Floor & Home Welcomes Your Support campaign. Carpet One Floor & Home gives 25% of the price of our exclusive pink ribbon Welcome a Cure Mats to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (US) and the Canadian Cancer Society (CAN) in support of breast cancer research.
Locally, Mercer Carpet One extends our support to the Stacey Davis Breast Cancer Fund. This portion of the Community Foundation of Carroll County gives financial aid to women with breast cancer living in Carroll County. Aid covers medical expenses, supplies, and prostheses. The fund pays for travel expenses to and from treatments. It is a project that provides comfort and support to improve the quality of life for women living with breast cancer. Carroll County Hospice Center

Every year Mercer Carpet One continues to support the Carroll County Hospice. Carroll Hospice, an affiliate of Carroll Hospital Center, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients needing end-of-life hospice care. The Center’s comprehensive and compassionate care centers on a well-rounded philosophy of treatment that addresses the patient’s physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, allowing them to live as fully and comfortably as possible in their final days. The Center’s services include a full spectrum of care: pain management and symptom control, coordination of home and inpatient services, an interdisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, social workers, clergy, pharmacists, hospice volunteers, and home health aides, and bereavement care for family members for up to 13 months. |
Animal Welfare

Our pet-friendly Lees products led us to partner with animal welfare charities through the Muddiest Buddies campaigns. Most recently, we partnered with the Delta Society, a leading international resource on the human-animal bond. Pet Partners is one program in the campaign. They train and register over 10,000 volunteers to safely and effectively share the healing power of their pets. Volunteers visit hospitals, aided living care centers, and patients in hospice care. Other programs include the Service Dog Referral Center and the web-based Human-Animal Bond Resource Center. |
